Maths Curriculum at CHS
At Coleshill Heath School, we have planned our curriculum using a ‘blocked approach’ for teaching Maths. This is to ensure the children have time to fully deepen their own understanding of the mathematical concepts. The way in which the curriculum is planned out, is so that the children can build upon previously taught concepts. We begin each Maths lesson with a starter which enables our children to retrieve prior knowledge.
